Jason Holleman is Of Counsel to Farmer & Luna, PLLC. His practice includes the areas of civil litigation, land use, municipal, environmental, regulatory and administrative law.
A native Nashvillian, Mr. Holleman received his Bachelor of Arts degree, cum laude, from Samford University in Birmingham, Alabama in 1995 and his Juris Doctor degree from Tulane University School of Law in New Orleans, Louisiana in 1998. While at Tulane, he earned a Certificate of Environmental Law and was on the Senior Board of the Tulane Environmental Law Journal, as well as being an active participant in the Tulane Environmental Law Clinic.
Mr. Holleman began his legal career as an Assistant General Counsel with the Office of General Counsel for the Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation. From 1999 until joining Farmer & Luna in 2002, he served as an Assistant Attorney General with the Tennessee Attorney General and Reporterís Office, Environmental Division, where his primary responsibilities involved enforcement litigation on behalf of the Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation.
Mr. Holleman is the past chair of the Environmental Law Committee of the Nashville Bar Association and is a member of the Executive Committee of the Environmental Section of the Tennessee Bar Association. He is active in a number of civic and community organizations, serving on the Board of Directors of the Nashville City Cemetery Association, the Board of Directors of Historic Nashville, Inc., and the Board of Directors of Homeplace, Inc.. He is a past member of the Executive Board of the Middle Tennessee Council of the Boy Scouts of America, as well as a past member of the Board of Directors of Nashville’s Table and a current member of its Advisory Committee. Mr. Holleman is also a member of the Scottish Rite, John B. Garrett Masonic Lodge No. 711, and West Nashville Lodge No. 612. On September 11, 2007, Mr. Holleman was elected to the Metropolitan Council for Nashville and Davidson County for a 4-year term representing Metro Council District 24. He serves as a Metro Council representative on the Metro Greenways Commission and the Metro Homelessness Commission.
Mr. Holleman is married and has one child.
